Imperial Currency
So, now that you don’t need to worry
about the useless items this can earn you, I suppose you want to know what big payouts you can get! Well, you can get Rune Weapons, Rune Arrows, and Arcane Flowerpots. The values of each will vary on each server, but should you get either of these you will more than make back what it cost you to get the Infinity Core and
The currency used in Aht Urhgan areas
are earned through completing Quests, or trading Imperial Standing (IS, earned through fighting in an expansion area with Sanction magic cast on you) to an NPC in Whitegate. Although this was far more profitable in the beginning, this can still be used to earn easy money.

of 35,000 Gil (before the password was worked out). For my trouble I received two Water Clusters and 6 Rune Arrows (accumulated value around 12,000 Gil C it would have been slightly more if I had sold the arrows to Auction House rather than an NPC). A friend of mine tried this twice and got one Water Crystal and an Arcane Flowerpot (101,000 Gil approximate total at a cost of 25,000 Gil).
often from Lv55 onwards in various locations, giving you ample opportunity to earn IS. While keeping enough to cover teleportation to staging point costs, trade some in for whatever high value domination currency is on your server. Gold and stacks of Bronze sell well on mine and even single silver pieces as well because they are used at the ‘good’ teleport Tarutaru.

It isn’t fast (unless your server still has people trying to earn 1000 Bronze to get the haste turban), but as I said it is risk free. There will always be a demand for currency even if it’s just to pay the lease on Mog Lockers.

password, and recently the mystery of the password finally worked out thanks to an interview with one of the game developers who droped a hint. The community worked hard and found the formula to what password can be used. The password gives you Doctor Status and has been found to eliminate crystals/clusters from your random drop taking away the worst possible result. As you can imagine this makes your chances of making a profit a lot better, or at the very least breaking even.

Strange Apparatus
Warning: There is a chance that you will
fail to open a Coffer Chest when you try to pick its lock and that means a potential chance of near instant death. The Coffer Chest might turn into a Mimic monster. This monster can pull you back to it if you try to run, cast very powerful magic, and hits for a lot of damage. To lessen the risk of dying have a macro which will instantly activate Perfect Dodge and then get out of their by either Instant Warping or using Flee.
This is something to try for the risky
players amongst you! You must invest quite a bit of Gil per time you attempt this and risk only getting back a useless cluster for your trouble. Luck plays the main part in this endeavor. Please keep that in mind and don’t blame me if you get poor results.
In certain dungeons around Vana’diel
there are places that players refer to as ‘Secret Rooms’ (even though everyone knows about at least one). Inside these are selectable objects called Strange Apparatus. To activate one of these machines you need;

Infinity Cores are dropped by monsters
inside Dynamis. If you are not high enough to do a run there yet, you can buy them from the Auction House (for around 900 Gil). They are hard to track down and often sell out quickly, so some Auction House camping might be required. The

Coffer Chest all your status effects are removed. That means Sneak will disappear. You also cannot attempt to pick open a chest if you are Invisible, so you must lose that status before even trying.
Pick a dungeon you are familiar with (it
would help if you had the map and have marked off locations you have seen the Coffer Chest spawn), either sub a job which can cast Sneak and Invisible or use items to give you those status, and then go looking for the Coffer Chest. It will spawn once approximately every thirty minutes, or will move location after that time if it has gone unopened.
Coffer Hunting
Here is yet another way to make money if
you are high level and play as the Thief job (you guys are so lucky!). In your playing career you will soon learn that Coffer Chests are like the big brother of Treasure Chests, they are harder to find keys for and hold things of much higher value (and also Job AF armor items and pieces). But you lucky Thief job players do not need a Coffer Key! That’s right, you can buy an item which lets you pick the lock on the Coffer chest to open it and get the reward.
I have never hunted in this manner, but I
know that literally every person who has played the Thief job up over Lv60 has done this to make a lot of Gil. Find a list of drops online and pick one which is worth a high amount on your server.

Raising
Playing The Economy
When White Mage gets Raise at Lv25 and
Throughout the guide, I have constantly
Paladins at Lv50 another source of income becomes open to you. It is not really a fast earner, but it is easy, stress free, and works. Basically pick a zone which has a high death rate for reasonably low level players and sit around in it. You could do a shout every so often that you are there as well, or you can simply wait until you hear the inevitable shout of someone asking to be raised.
told you the best place to sell specific things. Another use for this information is playing the economy against itself for a little profit. It is a little dangerous, as you are never confirmed a 100% chance of a sale for profit, but it might be something you want to consider so I included this tip here.
If something sells exceedingly well in, say,
Windurst for 3,000 Gil yet you have just noticed some are on sale in San d’Oria for 1,500 Gil you could buy from there and sell where they are worth more. Simple enough, as long as you take travelling costs, tax, and demand into consideration.
I have seen varying costs that White
Mages will charge for this service, but I would say the silent consensus is that 1,000 Gil per Raise is a decent enough price. Feel free to try and charge a bit more, but people might get annoyed at you.
If you want to try your hand at doing
The best place I have found to do this if
something like this start with something small, like a stack of crystals or something worth even less just to test. If you gain enough confidence that you have figured out a niche in your server’s economy to risk a bigger investment for a valuable item then go for it, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.
you are quite low level yourself is definitely Valkurm Dunes. The sheer number of deaths in that zone is incredible. At later levels you could charge more and hang around in more dangerous leveling grounds.

Gambling
This way of making Gil is frowned upon
Or it might have special rules like;
by some players because people who do it tend to spam none stop shouts about it. If you do this method, go easy on the shouts please (or else they might come looking for the idiot who gave you the bright idea!).
777,888,999 etc =Win x3 Player bid
123,456,789 = Win x2 Player bid
Setting up your own Gambling Game is
easy. Basically it makes use of a function in the game where if you type /random your character rolls a dice and you get a random number between 0 and 999.
321,654,987 = Win x2 Player bid
Roll 0 = Win x3 Player bid
Roll 999 = Win x4 Player bid
I have seen many different rules and
variations of this but generally it might follow something like this;
I am not going to get into specifics, as I
have read some people actually planning out odds and what not to create extremely complicated formulas to know win ratios (like in real life casinos!) so I will leave the details up to you. Luck plays a part in this endeavor, but I know a few people that have made quite a bit of Gil taking the money of fools, eh, I mean Gamblers.
Minimum Bet =1,000 Gil
Maximum Bet = 7,000 Gil
Roll 300-400 = Money back
Roll 401-501 = Win x2 Player bid
Roll 1-299 = Player Loss
Roll 501-998 = Player Loss

Each races RSE is different and cater more towards a particular type of class, but going out of your way to get them if you don’t plan to use them can be worth while Gil wise.
Warning: You can only do the RSE Quest
once for each part of the set. After that you cannot do them again. Keep that in mind if you are going to sell them as I suggest. If your job does not benefit greatly from wearing the entire set then this tip is for you, otherwise I’d recommend not doing this.
A Goblin inside the Goblin Shop in Lower
Jeuno will give you a Quest involving your RSE provided you have enough fame. Every game week a Race and Sex is chosen to run the Quest. If it is your turn, the Goblin tells you a dungeon name (such as Ordelle Caves) and demands that you run to it, kill monsters until a key drops, open a Treasure Chest inside the dungeon to receive a Magical Pattern, and then return to him so he can make a piece of your RSE (which piece is up to you). So, for example, he might say; “Today it’s the Hume Female turn to fetch a Magical Pattern from Gusgen Mines!”
Now it’s the clever bit. You now should
know when it is your Races next turn to go hunting for a Magical Pattern. Go and do it, but before you hand it into the Goblin consult the Auction House. Find every bit of your RSE in it and write down the prices so you know which is worth the most. This will vary from each Race, Sex and Server. In my case, I found that the Hume Male hands, Hume Male Feet and Hume Male Legs were worth the most expensive on my server and that the whole set totaled to a value of around 350,000 Gil. When you go to the Goblin do not get the piece you can wear first the Lv27 piece) unless it is worth the most, get the one which will earn you the most Gil.
You will have to wait until it is your turn
and to check you can consult this website which has accurate game times for Vana’diel and can tell you up to the next ten times you have a chance to earn a piece of your RSE:
http://www.mithrapride.org/vana_time/ind
Now simply sell it then go do another run.

Remember you have a game time week until it is no longer your turn. You should have time to do at least two pieces.

Gold Beastcoins
increasing your steal chances by wearing the Thief AF and any items that might also add to the steal stat will help a lot. If you are only subbing Thief you cannot have any steal increase stat equipment other than some expensive accessories so your overall rate of income here will be much lower.
Here’s a tip specifically for anyone who
plays the Thief job (to a lesser extent those with a Thief sub job as well) and is looking for an easy, and relatively safe, way to make some easy money. Gold Beastcoins can be stolen from high level Beastmen type monsters (Orcs, Yagudo, Quadev, etc).
After you zone into Davoi, travel all the
way to the Monastic Cavern and get through it safely (you will need Sneak and Invisible probably) so you zone back out into Davoi at the section where the old church is located (its nearly the direct centre of the map C you will know you are there if you see Orcish Dragoon’s). All you need to do is run up a tiny hill, try to steal from the nearest Orc, and then run back down into the Monastic Cavern zone. This is the safest place I found to do this.
There is a few less safe ways for you to go
on little collection trips for these; like helping out on Coffer Key hunts, Level Limit break parties, and so on, but there’s a nice way to do it solo.
I specifically have done this in Davoi, but
the same theory can be applied to other areas, as long as certain conditions are met. What you are looking for is a location with Beastmen of high enough level that they will carry Gold on them and near a zone.
Race Specific Equipment (RSE)
The general idea of this tip is this; you
zone into wherever the monsters are that you can steal a Gold Beastcoin from, run up to it, steal, flee and run to zone. When the use timer of Steal has reset, you can zone back in and repeat to your hearts content. Obviously for this to make some nice money over time
This term is given to a set of armor that
you can start wearing by about Lv27 and finish the full set at Lv33. Each piece (hands, chest, legs, feet) all have many stats which, as a whole, drastically boost all your attributes.

Teleport Taxi
especially since it was made more common for people to be taken prisoner. If you only like earning money through teleports in phases so you don’t get bored, do it then.
This is a common way to make money if
you are a White Mage. It is simple enough; stand around in Lower Jeuno and offer to teleport people using your spells, for a price. Doing this for a few hours can quickly amount to a reasonable amount of Gil for next to no work at all. Silently, there seemed to be a price list formed amongst White Mage who offers this service which is as follows;
Aketon And Signet Staffs
A reasonably recent introduction to the
game; Aketons and Signet Staffs are items available to Rank 10 players (with certain conditions in one case). You might not think by looking at either that they are worth a lot of Gil, but you are wrong. The reason (well, ninety percent of the reason) these cost so much from players Bazaars is that you need to be Rank 10 to earn them and that they look very cool. Other players buy them for the status symbol (Aketon) and a flag they can show off with the ability to re-cast Signet (Signet Staff). Please note that the Aketon for your Kingdom is only available if your Kingdom is currently in first place in the league table and you are Rank 10 for 56,000 Conquest Points. Regardless of Kingdom position, if you are Rank 10 the Signet Staff will always be available for 5,000 Conquest Points.
Teleport Dem / Teleport Mea / Teleport
Holla = 100 Gil per person
Teleport Altep / Teleport Yhoat = 2000-
6000 Gil per person
Teleport Vahzl = 2000-6000 per person
I have also seen Black Mage’s charging for
Warp II in a similar way, for about 500 Gil per person. There is not as much of a market for this as the White Mage teleports, though.
If the Teleport Taru from Al Zahbi is taken
after a besieged get to that zone and look out for lots of teleportation requests. People can become stranded (sort of) if the free teleport taru is captured. Quite often the zone is spammed with requests following a siege,
